The heavy end of the catalogue, Rs 6,000 and above. Large murtis, group castings, tall standing lamps and the biggest of the urlis and vases. Several of these need two hands to move and a hard, level surface to stand on.

Price at this level follows weight and the amount of hand-finishing, so read the gram figure on the page before you picture the piece. At these weights the solid-metal claim settles itself on a kitchen scale, because nothing plated or hollow comes near the number printed. Where the finish is antique, keep acid away from the recesses.
