Where a vessel is lined, we say so

Brass vases, plain, engraved, hammered and coloured. Sizes run from a small bud vase to floor pieces, and the gram figure on each page is the quickest way to picture the difference.

Standing water inside a bare brass vase will mark the inside over time, which nobody sees, and can leave a ring at the waterline, which they do. Empty and dry it between arrangements and that stops. Where a vase is coloured or hand painted, the finish is on the metal, so keep scouring and dishwashers away from it.
