Where a vessel is lined, we say so

Ghanti, shankh and trishul. The bell is rung at the start of aarti and again at the end; the shankh is a conch, either the shell itself or a stand cast to hold one; the trishul stands upright in the mandir beside the murti as an emblem of Shiva.

Bells are cast solid and the tone follows the mass, so the gram figure on the page is worth reading before you choose. Most pieces here are plain brass and unlacquered. Where one carries an antique finish the page says so, and the dark in its recesses should be left alone rather than polished out.
