Weighed and listed

In grams, on almost every page

Tin lining stated

Where a vessel is lined, we say so

Kansa bowls, platters and serving pieces, for bringing food to the table. Denser than the brass equivalents and heavier at the same size, which the gram figure on each page will show you.

Unlacquered, so the surface darkens in use and comes back with tamarind. Acidic food left standing in a kansa bowl overnight will mark it, so empty and dry them the same evening. Handmade in India, and each piece is raised and finished by hand, so small differences in weight and surface are normal.
